In January of 2008, I was diagnosed with recurring urinary tract infection. After 6 months of taking antibiotics, it was discovered that I was misdiagnosed but, unfortunately, by then the antibiotics had taken a toll on my body. My immune system was very weak which made me feel fatigued, stressed and anxious – it all caused my weakened system to develop GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) which caused severe weight loss. All these symptoms were so overwhelming that I felt depressed. It got so bad I started missing a lot of work and actually considering quitting my job because I couldn’t function like normal.

I came to NMC in July 2008, and was prescribed herbs and dietary guidelines to follow. Within a month, I started feeling better.
