I have had a long history of back pain. I suffered from a herniated disc and in January 2000, I had lumbar microdissection surgery. I then reinjured the L4-L5 area in February 2006. On March 8, 2006, I went to the Saddleback Surgery Center and I had an MRI and was given an epidural. The doctors also gave me steroids and cortisone shots. I also took Vicodine for the pain, but nothing worked. There were no results from the treatments and I did not want to have surgery again. I was scared and I wanted some relief from the pain. I could not work and was unable to exercise. It was horrible.
On March 14, 2006, I came to the Natural Medicine Center. I did not want to have surgery again, and I wanted to have relief from the pain. I was doubtful and skeptical at first, but I started with acupuncture treatments. I liked the happy positive atmosphere of the clinic and that the staff is knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and nice.
Within 2 weeks of starting treatments, I was 95% better. I am taking no more pain medication and I am back to work and back to normal activities. Most importantly, it prevented a second round of surgery. I have an improved quality of life and am less stressful and more calm. I am more hopeful and happier.
